This is a brand new Reverse Gear and Slider assembly for the 6 speed Getrag W6MG1 Transmission
The 6 speed is notorious for reverse damage and over half the units we receive do not have good enough reverses anymore and we are out of core gears as well. Thanks to Paul Wright for making these made in the UK gears and sliders possible. We have partnered with PPG gear for reverse gears and 2nd gears for the 5 speed, but they are unable to make the slider. A new gear with a worn slider doesn't work well.
Please note there is not a back taper on the engagement teeth like factory. The tooling to do this would have signficantly increased the price and we have tested these and found it to not be necessary on the reverse gear, like it is for the forward gears.
We had a batch of 15 made that will be ready in January. Depending on the tariff situation and the Pound vs the $ the price of these may have to go up further, but if you pre-order your price is set.
